Now that I'm no longer working with WordPress I'm left with several WordPress-specific ideas that will probably never gain production-level traction on my end.
Instead of letting them die in the recesses of discarded notebooks and fading memories I thought I would share them with you in a short post series. It's possible you will be able to take one of the ideas and run with it; but I hope at the very least your imagination will be sparked a bit to explore your own ideas.
This is the introductory post to lead off the series so I’m not presenting any of the ideas yet; but I wanted to mention the series and tell you what’s coming.
There are three ideas that always seemed to stick around. At times I would be excitedly scribbling away in my notebook on how to implement them, but most of the time they just existed as something that would be neat to do one day.
In a sense this little series could be utterly useless as everyone has a million good ideas up their sleeve; and what I present may fall under the category of one in a million. Nevertheless, this will be therapeutic for me as I can finally let go of them!
One has to do with the newspaper/ publishing industry, another applies a plugin approach to a WordPress theme and the other is akin to what I did with WP Contact Manager. I'm going to publish them each as an individual post in ascending order from good to best.
Time frame? I'm not sure, I'm thinking one every couple of weeks, but I can't say definitively. How can you know when they're published? By subscribing to my blog feed
of course!
